Self publishing questions?
If i want to self publish in the future, will a local printer be able to print the book and bind it together like all other paperbacks we buy?
Also can i go into a “waterstones” branch for example and give them money to stick my book on the shelf to see how it does or do i have to go on the street offering it at a low price?

Most (all) established bookstores will not stock self-published books. There has been a discussion about that on Absolutewrite.com forums if you want to check out what other writers have to say.
Wholesale price of self-published books is so high you will not be able to offer a low price and still make a profit.
Personally I only recommend self-publishing if you have a fan base. A website that gets many many hits a day, for example. You can then sell the book to your following.
