Historical romance author-1970′s-Vikings, medieval; actually was male, since deceased. Need author’s pen name
This author was very popular in the era of “bodice-rippers” (prior to the current romantic-erotica) and wrote lengthy print paperbacks with the usual cover art. Specialised in medieval and Viking, I think. Very prolific and had quite a rabid fan following. Although writing under a female name, author was actually male, lived with mother; I’m sure has died quite some time ago. Hours of Internet search and racking my brain hasn’t helped!
Thanks for the answers! I remember the author’s pseudonym was Jennifer or Jessica or Johanna or similar, and many of the books had similar titles, something like Love’s Sweet Surrender, Love’s * *. These were published in the 1970′s and had the lush covers common to historical romance paperbacks at that time. I believe the author might have published 20 or 30 of these romances. Probably 500-600 pp. each
