how can i decorate my room colorfully with out spending any money?
well my room is dull and i hate it, its black blue purple and white,its really small too and i hardly fit in it, i want something colorful like this,http://yourhomeonlybetter.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/modernfrench.jpg ,or this,http://img.hgtv.com/HGTV/2004/02/09/dod601_aft_1_lg.jpg ,or maybe this, http://www.niken.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/childrens-bedroom-582×412.jpg ,or this,http://www.contemporist.com/photos/gab070109_09.jpg , but my bedroom doesnt look like this at all,please help me,i have an old bed that i hardly fit in,a big old dresser that takes up like half my room and the bed does too,then i have a bookshelf, and a side table,thats all that is in my room, i cant fit anyother stuff in it,the rest is in my closet,walk in-and its not pretty or nice looking at all.i hate how my room looks can anyone give me any pointers or advice on how to make my room look alittle like these with-out spending any money-(im 13)
Paint the walls white and add a nice color to the base board or trim, like that aqua blue in the first photo. White will open up your room to make it look bigger. You can redo the furniture you have by simply updating it. For example on your dresser you can change the pull handles to something more blingy for a nice updated fresh look. If you are desperate to have some new furniture I would try looking at garage sales for pieces (again, you can update these with paint and changing out the handles) or search on craiglist, sometimes people give away furniture for dirt cheap or free even.
Go with bright colors, blue, green, red… but don’t overdo with adding too much color.
Remember, you want to piece together everything in your room with a color. In the first photo (which is my favorite), notice how the light blue is used throughout the room? It helps tie and bring all the furniture together.
I would take pointers from the first photo which would be the EASIEST to copy without spending much money. All the other photos will have money coming out of your pocket.
