legalities of writing an occult book?
If you write a book that has magical spells in it that you make up, or if you write a book stating the truth about where fairies really come from and methods to contact them, what are the legalities involved if you want to publish the book as non fiction? There are tons of occult books that state all sorts of silly things and I am wondering how the authors avoid legal liability for contents that clearly do not work or are not real yet being published as non fiction.
If your book claims that it will show someone how to communicate with fairies, and then they buy the book and follow the instructions and it does not work, would the buyer of the book not have legal recourse?
I believe a simple disclaimer hidden in small text somewhere in the book will cover you.
