How do celebrities make so much money?
Carrie Fisher is doing stage shows of “Wishful Drinking”, and selling the book. In her book, she says her father, Eddie Fisher, was married 5+ times, and was always on drugs. When i researched, i couldn’t find how eddie fisher made money. He wrote two books about his life. I guess he did some nightclubs. But that’s all i could find. Now, that doesn’t seem like enough to support a Beverly Hills home, cars, clothes, entertainment and meds. How do celebrities cover their expenses for 40 years after their popularity fades?

To answer your question about the money…. They sign a contract for tv shows, music gigs and movies. they get more cash for the bigger name they bring on to that list. Out of their pay check they have to pay taxes, managers and other expenses. They now also included the DVD release and moneys from other things. If smartly invested they can make enough to live in high dollar end places but not always. They also could have other ways to bring in the cash. get paid to show up at clubs, help write books and the like.
