publishing with CafePress?

I have written a book (PDF) on HTML. I want it to be published (hard-copy not eBook) by a CafePress. My book is having 735 pages. I want the book to be published in A4 size (because I have created the pdf in that size). The pages may be black n white or colored.

What is the minimum price at which CafePress will sell this book?
What will be the price if the whole book is colored?
Is an book or eBook without ISBN illegal?

CafePress should have a calculator that allows you to try out different options and see what the price of the book will be.

It’s perfectly legal to sell books without ISBNs. They’re for stock control and ordering. An ISBN unambiguously identifies an edition of a book, so that a bookshop or a reader can be sure of getting what they want. As far as I know, most bookshops won’t order a book that doesn’t have an ISBN, because they have no way of referring to it.

Having said that, it’s not going to make any difference whether your book has an ISBN, because nobody will buy it anyway. HTML is hardly a specialised subject these days. Walk into any large bookshop and you’ll find a dozen or more books that cover it in depth. Your book will have to be 50% to 100% more expensive than those, because it’s print-on-demand. A reader has no way of knowing whether your book is accurate or complete, because CafePress will print anything. Readers won’t even know your book exists, unless you spend a fortune on marketing.
